INSTRUCTIONS FOR SENDING SAMPLES FOR COFACTOR IMMUNOPRISM
Congratulations! You have discussed an experimental design with one of our Project Scientists, signed a project quote, and are ready to move forward with Sample Submission for the ImmunoPrism Assay.
Please follow the Guidelines below to safely and easily ship your samples to Cofactor.
Step 1: View and Download the Sample Submission Checklist document
Download the Sample Submission Checklist
This document summarizes the information on this page, and is a great reference while preparing, submitting, and shipping your samples.
Step 2: Prepare your samples for shipment
Cofactor’s ImmunoPrism assay is designed to accept total RNA extracted from human tissue samples, including fresh frozen tissue and formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tissue. Cofactor’s RNA extraction approach is optimized to yield the highest quality and quantity of RNA. Therefore, tissue samples are preferred over previously-extracted RNA.
- Preferred: Unmounted Sections or Fresh Tissue When feasible, please send (2) FFPE sections (10 μm thickness) in a single tube, clearly labeled, for each sample. For fresh tissue, please ship 10-30 mg flash-frozen in a single 1.5 mL tube.
- Acceptable: Slide-Mounted Sections Please send (2) FFPE slides (10 μm thickness), individually labeled as replicates, for each sample.
- Acceptable: Extracted RNA Please send at least 200 ng of RNA at a concentration of ≥20 ng/μl in nuclease-free water, frozen on dry ice, for each sample. RNA must be DNase treated. Note that sample quality will be assessed upon arrival, however, please include QC information for our reference.
Step 3: Download the Sample List Spreadsheet
Please download the Sample List Spreadsheet and populate with sample information. Please use Sheet 2 (RNA) for samples of previously-extracted RNA.
Download the Sample List Spreadsheet
Ensure the sample names on your spreadsheet match the labels on your tubes. If the samples names do not fit on the tube labels, please use simplified names and include a legend to match the shortened/simplified name to the longer name. Samples that do not match the Sample List Spreadsheet may result in delay of processing.
Step 4: Fill out the Sample Submission Info
Fill out the questions below, and upload your completed Sample List Spreadsheet (downloaded above).
Step 5 (Optional): Download the Guidelines for International Shipments
Shipping from outside of the US? Download and follow these Guidelines.
Step 6: Ship your Samples
All that’s left is to send in your samples.
Please ship all samples to:
