Predictive Immune Modeling for Translational Oncology

As part of Cofactor Genomics’ ongoing commitment to scientific discovery, and desire to support advancements in immuno-oncology research and development, we are pleased to announce our 2019 ImmunoPrism Research Grant worth $100,000.

 

Imagine if you could easily profile the tumor microenvironment, unlock new biological insights, and discover novel multidimensional biomarkers!

 

The successful applicant will receive access to Cofactor’s technical team and facilities to process a cohort of solid tumor materials with full immune profiling and biomarker discovery. The grant includes reagents, sequencing, and bioinformatics using the Cofactor Genomics ImmunoPrism kit.

The process is simple.

Step 1: Check if you are eligible.
Are you 18+, a research scientist, with 2 peer reviewed publications in the last 2 years?

Step 2: Understand the selection criteria.
A Cofactor Genomics Advisory Committee will review the applications and select a successful applicant based on the following:

  1. Research objective aimed at making improvements in life possible – 30%
  2. Research plan meeting the sample requirements – 30%
  3. Research plan using Cofactor’s ImmunoPrism assay – 20%
  4. Potential to generate data for publication within the year – 20%

Step 3: Know what to expect if you are the successful applicant.
We recommend that you read the Grant Terms and Conditions entirely.

Step 4: Draft your application, and submit below.
We recommend including the following details: 

  • Disease and treatment (if applicable) being studied
  • Number of available samples
  • What defines the cohorts that are being compared
  • Why you’d like to partner with Cofactor and any other relevant details you think may be important

The winning applicant will be notified by email and announced on the website.

    When will I know the result?

    The successful applicant for the research grant will be contacted by email by April 30, 2019.

     

    Can I apply for the grant if I am to relocate outside of the United States?

    Unfortunately, the grant will only be eligible for research conducted in the United States this year.

     

    Am I eligible to apply if I am not a United States citizen?

    Yes, applicants can be a resident of other countries, working for the duration of the project in the United States.

     

    Will Cofactor Genomics commercialize any discoveries resulting from the research conducted using this grant?

    No, Cofactor Genomics will only be granted rights to promote the utilization of ImmunoPrism results from the research for the marketing of Cofactor Genomics’ products.

     

    What type of samples are acceptable/required?

    FFPE, Fresh frozen solid tumors. Relevant clinical data for each sample should be included. A small pilot study will be conducted by Cofactor at no charge for the project selected for the grant to ensure that sample type, quality, and quantity are sufficient to proceed prior to initiating the full project. All samples must be available at the start of the project.

     

    Am I eligible to apply as a research employee of a private company?

    Yes, employees of private companies are eligible as well.

     

    May I apply for the grant multiple times with different projects?

    Yes, each individual may apply for the grant with several projects.

     

    Is the research grant only limited to projects on human research?

    Yes, the grant is limited to human research only.
