De Novo Assembly

RNA-Seq

Cofactor Genomics's robust RNA-seq pipeline provides researchers with the ability to evaluate differential gene expression in their chosen organism. ActiveSite, our intuitive web-based user-interface, enables researchers to examine, sort, and discover patterns in their data that may not be visible when working with text files or in classical expression applications. Our Project Scientists ensure that experiments survey transcriptomes at the appropriate depth. SNP

The high depth of coverage made possible by next generation sequencing permits researchers investigating genome variation the ability to identify single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and insertion/deletion (INDEL) sites with superior confidence. Cofactor utilizes a stringent filter to eliminate low-coverage, low-confidence SNPs. Variations in the genome or transcriptome between species, strains, or mutagenized samples may be explored with a high level of confidence. Comparative SNP analysis in Cofactor's ActiveSite provides a framework for the discovery of novel and causative SNPs.

miRNA

Starting from total RNA, Cofactor's expert molecular biologists enrich samples for miRNAs experiments. Our robust RNA-seq pipeline coupled wtih specific bioinformatics tools developed for miRNA analysis, provide a comprehensive survey of expressed miRNA in a sample.
